I had the pleasure of travelling with Woeser from Road To Tibet Travel Service in August 2012. At first I was a little daunted about choosing an agency on line as there are so many to choose from and all offer very similar packages. I knew that I wanted to support the Tibetan people and chose a Tibetan owned and operated agency. After reading great reviews about Woeser on Lonely Planet & other forums I added him to my list (of 3 other agencies) then started making enquiries.

I knew from the very first email from Woeser that he was the guide I was looking for. He was happy to listen to my plans and also made lots of suggestions and through many emails (which were always answered promptly) and Skype chats; he came up with a fantastic itinerary at a very competitive price. By the time I was ready to travel in August 2012 I felt as though I already knew Woeser and a friendship had formed.

Due to permit restrictions we were unable to travel to the Tibet Autonomous Region as first planned, but rather than cancel Woeser suggested a "plan B" which included the stunningly beautiful Tibetan areas of Amdo and Kham. Our itinerary always remained flexible and allowed for last minute detours and changes to suit our interests. (eg. a 5 hour detour to take in one of the biggest horse races in Tibet - an unforgettable experience).

I cannot thank him enough for taking us on this amazing journey and I suggest to anyone wanting a true Tibetan experience, without the need for permits to take this route or have it as a backup plan.

My friend and I were lucky to have Woeser as our guide and his brother Rabzin as our driver. They both went above and beyond to make sure we had a trip of lifetime. I will remember forever our picnic breakfasts in the mountains and the welcoming we received from their family as they allowed us an overnight stay in their family home.

I recommend to anyone planning to travel to Tibet to contact Woeser ..... I am already saving for a return visit.......(Please ask Woeser for my email address as I am more than happy to answer any questions). —Wendy from Australia
