Lhasa to Yamdrok Yutso Lake

Leaving the city of Lhasa, you will drive along the scenic Kyi Chu River and cross the highest river in the world—the Tsangpo River which becomes the Brahmaputra in India. After climbing a high pass, you'll arrive at Yamdrok Yutso Turquoise Lake.

This sacred lake (4,408 m) is believed to be the life-force of the Tibetan nation. Stretching over an area of 754 km, its pincer shape boasts nine islands and several monasteries.

There are many unforgettable vistas as well as access to the shoreline. In the distance lies the glaciated peak of Nojin Kangtsang (7,191 meters/23,593 feet.)
