As Tibetan Buddhism spreads in Asia and beyond to the Western world, Road To Tibet is receiving more inquiries from Buddhists about spiritual pilgrimages.

Of course, anyone who comes to Tibet visits temples and experiences something of Tibetan Buddhism, but pilgrimages are unique journeys dedicated to visiting temples and holy sites for the purpose of prayer and other spiritual practices.

There are many traditional pilgrimage itineraries and some include spectacular trekking. You can also tell us which places you would like to visit and we can make the arrangements, even if it's off the beaten path. Most pilgrimages are a combination of the two.

There's no part of Tibet without pilgrimage paths. They abound in central, eastern and western Tibet.

We're happy to discuss your ideas and make sure that the temples and sites you want to visit are accessible. Please know that our guides are sensitive to the needs of pilgrims. They are knowledgeable about Buddhism, temples and religious history. As Buddhists by birth, they value spiritual practice and will do everything possible to help you on your journey.

If you have something pilgrimage in mind, please contact us.
